November Empties Review

New month means a new batch of empties to share. Here’s what I finished up in November:

I love snails. I loved playing with them when I was little, now I love putting their mucin on my face. I think it’s great that so many brands have figured out how to benefit from these little critters in a cruelty-free way.

October Empties Review

Out with the old! Took me a while to get around to photographing them, but here are October’s empties. For reference, my skin type is normal-dry and my concerns are primarily around skin brightening and anti-aging.

Skincare Sorrow to Bath Blessing

What’s a product that didn’t work for your face but you ended up loving for something else?

For me, the Biossance Cleansing Oil and my forehead didn’t get along — I couldn’t get it to emulsify well. But put it in the bath and boom: nice fragrance and skin that didn’t feel dry when emerging. And it didn’t take as much oil to make the bath nice as my usual go-to, the Neutrogena fragrance-free body oil. Probably won’t repurchase for this purpose due to price, but it was a pleasant way to use up the bottle!

I finally did it. I did 7 skins! Been doing 4 layers for a while but decided YOLO. Two layers of everything but the wee Cosrx toner. Definitely found myself needing less by the last layer.
